Mauer der Toten
Tin Man Heart
The main quest for Mauer Der Toten is called Tin Man Heart. The goal for our Requiem Strike Force in this quest is to find and kill Valentina and prevent the Forsaken from escaping the Dark Aether to enter our world.
Requirements
This quest can be completed with any number of players but requires players to obtain/build the following items:
CRBR-S Wonder Weapon (can also be obtained from Legendary Trials and the Mystery Box)
You will also need the Blazer variant of the CRBR-S for the first step which can be obtained from zombie drops only from zombies killed by the CRBR-S or one of it's variants. It is also recommended to use the base variant for everything after the first step, as it is the best variant surprisingly.

Step 1: Access the Lab
Activate Klaus, head to the Sewer Access area, and command Klaus to stand in front of the brick wall on the far side of the sewer. This will cause him to punch and destroy the wall, revealing a metal-reinforced wall.
You must shoot this reinforced wall with the Blazer variant of the CRBR-S until you have melted a hole in the wall to access the secret Endstation lab, which once entered will end the current round and begin a Tormentor round, which once completed will remove the orange barriers around the devices in the lab.
Building Klaus
You must collect two parts to build Klaus, the first requires you to have the
Ammo Mod on your weapon and apply that effect to a zombie near the broken boarded-up door in Hotel Room 305.This will cause the zombie to begin tearing down the boards and breaking down the door giving you access to the Robotic Hands of Klaus which you must collect from the burnt corpse, as well as a safe which will be used shortly for obtaining the CRBR-S.
The second part is dropped from a Panzersoldat once it has been killed, these begin spawning on the map on Round 10 and the first one you kill will drop a Battery for you to collect.
Once you have the two parts, head to the Safe House and interact with Klaus on the chair to install the items onto him, causing him to stand up and become activated.
Immediately after activating Klaus you should being obtaining the CRBR-S since it requires his help to get.
Obtaining the CRBR-S
Activate Klaus, and command him to stand in front of the locker in the Switch Control Room, causing him to punch it open revealing a Blacklight that you must collect.
You must use this Blacklight to find three numbers used for opening the safe in Hotel Room 305. Each number is located in a certain area of the map and has three spawn locations within that area. Below are the three areas and the possible locations where you can find the groups of numbers.
Each location corresponds to a dial on the safe and is always the same every game, Garment Factory is the first dial, Service Passage is the second dial, and Grocery Store is the third dial. The numbers you find in a location are only valid for the corresponding dial.
Garment Factory
Service Passage
Grocery Store
Once you have your three numbers, head to Hotel Room 305 and input the correct number for each dial then press the button shown to use the handle, opening the safe and revealing the CRBR-S for you to collect.
You will now be able to obtain variants for the CRBR-S by killing zombies with the weapon, zombies will occasionally drop these variants on the ground after being killed and you can pick up a variant to have it automatically equipped. Running out of ammo with a variant will automatically revert the weapon back to it's base variant.
Upgrading Klaus
Head to the Death Strip areas of the map near Pack-a-Punch and interact with the Debris Piles on the ground until you get a Microwave Dish to pop out of one of them.
Afterward, head to the Garment Factory, place the Microwave Dish on the Upgrade Station, then activate Klaus and allow him to get 20-30 kills. Once he has gotten enough kills, command him to stand in front of the Upgrade Station causing him to sit inside the station and begin the upgrade process which you must defend him during.
An easy way to know when Klaus has gotten enough kills is to look at the red screen on the Upgrade Station which will turn green once he has gotten enough kills.
Step 2: Harvest the Essence
Head to the Secret Lab and collect the three empty canisters on the Conversion Unit in the center of the lab, which was previously protected via an orange barrier. Afterward, shoot the machine to the right of it with your CRBR-S which was also previously protected via an orange barrier, and collect the Endstation Lure that pops out of it.
Once you have the items, you must find the location of three Essence Harvesters. There are a total of seven possible spawn locations for these harvesters which are listed below:
Once you have found a harvester, interact with it to place one of the empty canisters inside, then throw your Endstation Lure near the harvester to spawn three Tempests you must kill near the harvester to collect their essence, charging the canister.
Once charged, the canister will glow purple and you can interact with it to carry the canister back to the Conversion Unit inside the Secret Lab. While carrying, you cannot sprint but will be able to vault, unlike the Decontamination Agent step on Die Maschine.
During this step, Tormentors and Manglers will be endlessly spawning. When carrying the canister, you get an AOE attack as a replacement for your field upgrade which you should use if you get into trouble.
Once you have reached the Conversion Unit inside the Secret Lab, interact with it to place the filled canister inside. You must now grab a new Endstation Lure and repeat this for the remaining two harvesters.
If another Endstation Lure does not appear after placing a filled canister inside the Conversion Unit, flipping the round should cause one to spawn in.
Step 3: Cold Steel Conductor
You must have Upgraded Klaus to complete this step.
Activate Klaus, then command him to stand on the train tracks opposite Mule Kick, this should cause him to hold his hands up preparing to stop a train. Afterward, head to the Switch Control Room and flip the lever to switch the train lines, causing a train to pass by which Klaus should stop.
You can flip the lever first then command Klaus to stand on the tracks, but the above method is recommended to avoid missing the train. If you do miss the train, you will need to place him on the tracks again and then flip the lever back to the original position and a train should come.
Enter the train quickly, and pick up two items, a Bomb, and Rico's Keycard opposite the bomb. Be sure it is Rico's Keycard you are picking up and not a piece of intel that can also be on that same corpse.
Step 4: Complete the Weapon
It is HIGHLY recommended that you purchase
if you haven't already for this step. This is because there is a part of this step that puts you on a 5-minute timer, and if you do not complete the task within that time your game will end causing you to restart.
Head to the Safe House and interact with the terminal on the table displaying a red Requiem logo to turn it green. Browse through the contents until you are denied access, to gain access you must obtain the Hacking Helm and install it on Klaus to allow him to give you access.
Once you have access, interact with the terminal again to activate the Disruptor Satellite causing a beam of energy to shoot down from the sky in front of Pack-a-Punch at Checkpoint Charlie spawning in a horde of zombies, two Named Mimics, and a Named Megaton.
Upon killing the Megaton and its split parts, it will drop two pieces of Corrupted Uranium starting the aforementioned 5-minute timer. You must pick up one of the pieces of Corrupted Uranium and take it to the workbench either in the Military Tent or on West Berlin Street to craft a Uranium Device.
It is recommended to use the Military Tent workbench as it is closest to the locations where you will need to place the Uranium Devices.
Once you have a Uranium Device, place one on either side of the zipline going from the Korber Rooftop to the Destroyed Penthouse. Once you have placed a device on one of the sides of the zipline, quickly repeat this for the other Corrupted Uranium, but this time placing it on the opposite side of the original device.
Keep in mind you have 5-minutes to do all of this, which should be more than enough time if you have
and are always using the Military Tent workbench.
Once both Uranium Devices have been placed on each side of the zipline, they should propel toward each other and collide, dropping a Cleansed Rock on the ground below their collision. Pick up this rock and insert it into the Warhead at the Conversion Unit inside the Secret Lab.
Hopefully, that wasn't too stressful, because you have to do that whole process again on the next round, only this time the beam of energy will come down on the Apartment Rooftop instead. You can trigger the Disruptor Satellite this time from a similar terminal in the Military Tent opposite the workbench or a similar tent on West Berlin Street.
Do not insert the second Cleansed Rock into the Warhead at the Conversion Unit unless you are fully prepared for the boss fight, as inserting it will complete the weapon and immediately begin the boss fight with Valentina. You can drop the rock in front of the Conversion Unit while you prepare.
Obtaining the Hacking Helm
You must first find three parts needed to build Hacking Helm for Klaus all these parts require you to have the CRBR-S. The first part can be obtained by shooting the radio tower on the Apartment Rooftop with the CRBR-S.
The second part can be obtained by shooting one of the three radios with the CRBR-S in the Electronics Store until the part pops out. The part is randomly placed in one of the radios every game.
The final part can be obtained by shooting a metal box in the Ghost Station opposite the Mule Kick perk machine with the CRBR-S. Once you have all three parts you can interact with Klaus to install the Hacking Helm onto him.
Step 5: Defeat Valentina
Make sure you are fully prepared with at least the CRBR-S pack-a-punched twice, all of your perks
ready to activate, and a Death Machine purchased from the crafting table with salvage. The Death Machine isn't necessary but it will make this 5-phase boss fight very easy.
Once you are ready to begin the boss fight, you can pick up the Cleansed Rock and insert it into the Warhead if you haven't already, spawning a red rift in the Secret Lab revealing a corrupted Valentina.
As mentioned, this boss fight has five phases, the first and last phase will always be in the Secret Lab, but the other three phase locations will be randomized. Throughout all five phases Valentina will only use the below mentioned abilities, so the only change between phases is location and amount of enemies.
Valentina's Abilities
Valentina has three main abilities you should be aware of, the first is a barrage of orange spikes, these will only damage your armor, or your health if you have no armor left, this can be avoided by hiding behind an object, running in a circle, or using your
if it is at least Tier II.The second is a summoning of zombies around her to heal herself, you can prevent it by quickly killing all the zombies before she can heal.
The final ability is a wipe mechanic which will be indicated by a blue wispy-like effect on your screen during its preparation, to avoid this attack you must break the line of sight so that she cannot see you by hiding behind something.
This is a wipe mechanic, if you do not break line of sight with her, this attack will instantly down you, unless you have Tier V Juggernog with armor. Not a game ender unless you do not have self revives or teammates to revive you.
Phase 1
Once Valentina spawns and is damageable, use your CRBR-S to deplete her shield, then activate your
and your Death Machine (if you purchased one) and rain fire on her until she loses 20% of her health, being sure not to get downed by the zombies. If your is at least Tier II you will be fully protected from her barrage attack.
Inbetween phases be sure to refresh your armor and buy a new Death Machine for the next phase and buy ammo for your CRBR-S at a nearby ammo crate if you need it. You have around a full minute to get prepared before being teleported to the next phase.
Remaining Phases
The strategy for the rest of the phases is relatively the same between these 3 phases. When you get teleported back to Valentina focus on the zombies to charge up your
being sure to avoid her abilities while you are charging it, then when it's ready repeat what you did for Phase 1, deplete her shield with the CRBR-S, activate your and Death Machine until she loses another 20% of her health.
If at any point you aren't able to finish the phase with a single Death Machine or if you can't purchase a Death Machine, use your CRBR-S to damage her as it is also extremely effective, just much slower than the Death Machine method.
Once all phases have been completed, you will have defeated Valentina causing her to collapse on the ground where you must go up and interact with her to capture her, triggering a cutscene.
Step 6: Close the Portal
After the cutscene, Klaus will begin walking toward the portal with the Warhead in hand, you must defend him as he approaches the portal from waves of enemies, allowing him to get close enough to enter the portal and detonate the Warhead from within the portal, preventing the Forsaken from crossing into this world.
If you fail to protect Klaus the Warhead will detonate too early, killing everyone in the game and ending your game forcing you to restart.
Congratulations! You have beaten the Mauer der Toten main quest: Tin Man Heart.
