Combat Strategy
Defeating the Nikolai Mech can be very challenging without GobbleGum, but even with Classic GobbleGum, you can easily defeat the Nikolai Mech. GobbleGum like and can be extremely helpful since they both make you temporarily undetectable by the Nikolai Mech, allowing you to easily take out its weak points, which are the initial four Power Cores and then the final center core that becomes exposed once the other four are destroyed.
The RayGun MKIII is extremely effective and should be the weapon you take into the boss fight as it will destroy the power cores quickly, allowing you to defeat the Nikolai Mech before the expiration of your or GobbleGum. You can read our full, detailed boss fight guide for the Gorod Krovi main quest for more information on how to encounter and defeat the final boss.
