Free Wunderwaffe DG-2

This side quest has players complete a bunch of prep to be able to retrieve the Wunderwaffe DG-2 seemingly dropped by Edward Richtofen in the Liberty Falls intro cutscene.

Requirements

You must have fully completed one of the Liminal Portal rituals for the main quest, meaning you need to fully build a Ray Gun MKII variant, obtain that variant's ritual item, and complete that variant ritual. You can see how to do all of this in our detailed main quest guide for the Shattered Veil. The variant you choose does not matter, however, we recommend not getting the Ray Gun MKII-Rot Blight for this side quest since it shoots too slow for what you'll need to do.

Step 1: Activate the Quest

Once you have fully completed one of the Ray Gun MKII variant's rituals inside a Liminal Portal, head to the Nursery where under the bed you'll find a pile of clothes with purple smoke coming off of them, that you must shoot.

Step 2: Destroy the Three Objects

Head to the East Balcony where on one of the chairs you'll find a purple smoking book that you must shoot to transform it into a purple cloud of objects.

You must destroy all of the objects in that cloud until the only remaining object is the book, then put as much damage as you can into that book until it is fully destroyed, dissipating the cloud, and re-locating it.

If you fail this or later steps, wait until the next round and the object will respawn for you to try again.

Next, you'll want to head to the Garden Pond and look opposite the workbench for a purple smoking object that you must shoot, transforming it into another purple cloud with multiple objects inside.

You'll want to repeat the exact same thing you did for the first object, destroying all of the objects until only the one remains and putting as much damage into that single object until the cloud dissipates.

For the final object, head to the Grand Foyer where to the left of Juggernogon a chair will be another purple smoking book that you must shoot, transforming it into another purple cloud of smoke with multiple objects that you must shoot until it is destroyed.

This final object will move around the room, and takes more damage than the other two objects so make sure you are prepared with enough ammo and a strong enough weapon, like your Ray Gun MKII variant.

Step 3: Claim the Wunderwaffe DG-2

Finally, head to the Banquet Hall and take the elevator down and immediately look up to find the purple cloud of smoke rotating counter clock-wise around the Elevator Shaft.

Simply, shoot the cloud of smoke to drop your free Wunderwaffe DG-2 wonder weapon for you to collect. Only one person in your game will be able to claim this Wunderwaffe DG-2 and this side quest is not repeatable meaning the other players will need to get it out of the Mystery Box.
