Description

The Astronaut is a special enemy appearing on the map Moon, often taking the name of someone on your friends list or if solo a predetermined name instead.

Range: Short
Grabs the player and headbutts them, dealing massive damage, teleporting them to a random location, and stealing one of their perks.

Knockback Explosion

Range: Medium
Releases a strong explosion upon death, damaging and knocking back players several meters.

Spawn Behavior

The Astronaut spawns in shortly after you have teleported to the Moon from Earth, and will always spawn in the Receiving Bay and make their way to the player. After every death, it will return with a different name above its head.

Combat Strategy

The Astronaut has much higher health than a normal zombie and moves slowly. Most of the time, they should just be ignored; however, if you want to get rid of him for a round, the best way to kill him is by throwing a Q.E.D. at its feet and making sure they are in the center of the blast radius, resulting in an instant kill. Besides that, shotguns are typically the best weapons to use against him or weapons using the in the Black Ops 3 version of the map.
